About

Eighteen languages. Seventy specialists. One port of departure: Genoa.

TrekTranslate was founded in Genoa in 2019 by two linguists who had spent a combined 20 years watching the translation industry prioritise speed and cost over expertise and precision. They built TrekTranslate on a different compass bearing: every translation project should be guided by a specialist who understands both the language and the subject matter — because a translator who speaks perfect German but does not understand pharmaceutical regulation will produce a document that is linguistically correct and professionally dangerous.

Genoa is our home — Italy's principal port, a city that has been sending people, goods, and ideas across the world for a thousand years. Christopher Columbus departed from here. So do our translations. The metaphor is deliberate: translation is a journey, and every journey needs a guide who knows the terrain.

Our core team of six (project managers, QA leads, and technology specialists) coordinates a curated network of seventy freelance linguists across eighteen languages. Every linguist has been tested on a real project, interviewed for subject-matter depth, and evaluated for quality before joining our network. Average translator experience: 11 years. Average subject-matter specialisation: 8 years.

2.8 million words navigated. 99.6% on-time delivery. Zero regulatory rejections on certified work. We are not the cheapest agency on the market. We are the one that eliminates the risk of getting translation wrong — and for content where accuracy matters, that arithmetic always works in our favour.

TrekTranslate team

Expertise guides every step.

We assign translators based on subject-matter qualification and document-type experience. A pharmaceutical translator handles pharma. A legal translator handles law. No generalists on specialist content.

Your memory, your asset.

Translation memory and glossaries built during your projects belong to you. They reduce future costs, ensure terminology consistency, and make every subsequent project faster.

Two reviews. No exceptions.

Every translation is reviewed by an independent second linguist and verified by automated QA. We maintain two layers of quality checking on every project regardless of volume or deadline.
